ShipFix brings together a management team that combines fifteen (15) years of experience in the ship repair industry.

 

We provide a wide range of vessel repair and engineering support services; from Mechanical, Hydraulics, Pipe Works, Steel, Blasting and Painting, and Under Water Welding. We take great pride in the quality of our work and the professionalism of our staff. 

 

We offers high quality personal service at all levels of engagement with the customer. At ShipFix, every project is important and will be managed and completed on time and on budget; with quality workmanship guaranteed.

 

ShipFix is a NAVSEA-certified Master Ship Repair Contractor qualified to manage any kind of marine vessel. ShipFix also maintains one of the most stringent Quality Management Systems (QMS) in the industry, certified to ISO 9001-2005 standards and, since we have only one QMS, the same high quality standards apply in whatever work we do. We work closely with the United States Coast Guard and the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) to ensure that all work performed meets all American and International requirements.

Background History

​

ShipFix was founded 15 year ago by a veteran in the maritime engineering industry. ShipFix with a keen focus on safety and the can-do attitude that ShipFix is known for.

 

The CEO is a Strathclyde University Maritime Engineering Department graduate with years of on-sailing repairs and maintenance experience. Upon transitioning ashore, he spent the last 15 years working with marine industry leaders in vessel operations, maintenance, repair, and business development.

 

He started his shore side career as a Port Engineer and worked his way up from the deck plates to senior executive. His most last assignment was with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), South Virginia as Vice President of Technical Services, overseeing MSC's's repairs, new construction shipyards and technical engineering team.

 

He will be assuming many of the day-to-day management functions at ShipFix. In addition, he has been tasked with growing our technical and human resources to better serve our customer's needs.​
